Summer Football provides 8-week, mixed competitions for boys and girls aged 5 to 15 years of age. These are social competitions for players of all abilities to come together enjoy playing over the summer. Players can form their own teams before registering or register as an individual and be allocated to a team.
Age Grades Offered (2023):
U15 – Boys born in 2010-2008 & Girls born in 2010-2007
U12 – Boys born in 2013-2011 & Girls born in 2013-2010
U9 – Players born in 2016-2014
U7 – Players born in 2018-2016
These grades are only to guide the forming of teams. As many teams will be made up of players with an age difference of 1-2 years, we will be grouping teams in leagues accordingly so that everyone is competing at the appropriate level to have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Girls Only teams will be able to join a league with younger teams if required to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
Schedule (2023):
All matches will be played on Thursday evenings at Te Puru Park between 5pm-7pm. Exact kick-off times will be released once registrations for the competition have closed.
The competition will run for 8 weeks from Thursday 12 October 2023 – Thursday 30 November 2023.
Format (2023)
U15 – 7v7 (including Goalkeeper’s), Maximum of 10 players per team, 2x 25 min halves, 1 match per week
7-a-side Competition Regulations
U12 – 5v5 (No goalkeepers), Maximum of 8 players per team, 2x 20 min halves, 1 match per week
5-a-side Competition Regulations
U9 – 5v5 (No goalkeepers), Maximum of 8 players per team, 2x 20 min halves, 1 match per week

U7 – 3V3 (No goalkeepers), Maximum of 5 players per team, 2x 15 min halves, 1 match per week

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd* placed teams. The value of prizes will be determined by the number of entries we receive and may include: Nike BMAFC Apparel, Football Gear and Rebel Sports Vouchers.
*Prizes for 3rd place will only be awarded in competitions where there are 8 or more teams.
Entry Fees & Registration:
U15 (Boys born in 2010-2008 & Girls born in 2010-2007) – $350 per team or $35 per player
U12 – (Boys born in 2013-2011 & Girls born in 2013-2010) – $280 per team or $35 per player
U9 – (Players born in 2016-2014) – $240 per team or $30 per player
U7 – (Players born in 2018-2016) – $150 or $30 per player

Registering as an Individual:
Players registering as an individual need to select an age group in the “Choose Group” section of the registration form. From here you will be placed on a waitlist. Once you have been placed into a team, we will send you an invoice and information regarding your team.
