Football finally gets underway this Saturday 20th June for all ages. The draws are coming out hot off the press as we speak, and your coaches will be able to update you with specific information as they receive it.

For the First Kicks and Fun Football teams we have posted the teams and their coaches on our Facebook page. Facebook is the quickest and easiest way to communicate with everyone, so please make sure you follow the page. You can find it at https://www.facebook.com/BMAFC.co.nz/

If you have a child in First Kicks, it gets underway at 8.30am and goes for just over an hour. If you have a child in Fun Football, it kicks off at 9.30am and also runs for just over an hour. We have some pretty cool after game initiatives this year – both First Kicks and Fun Football kids are invited to the clubrooms immediately after their session where they will get to meet a member of the first team, and the players of the days from each team will get their photo taken and put on our Facebook page!

It is also a very exciting year for our Senior Men. For the first time BMAFC have a team in NRFL Division 2. Our club has been striving to get into this division for a number of years, so we are all very excited for our first game. We are up against Northland, and playing a home game at Te Puru at 3pm. It would be great if any many people as possible can come down and cheer the boys on as they make their mark in the NRFL.

The clubrooms will be open from 2.30pm – so bring the whole family – you can get both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks from the club rooms, as well as a selection of food. There is all sorts going on down at Te Puru on a Saturday, so it would be great to see you there. We are currently looking to set up some activities in the Gym to keep the kids entertained as well so Mum and Dad can head into the clubrooms and relax on a Saturday afternoon.

Have a great season everyone – it has been a journey to get here, so let’s make the most of it!
