We are delighted to announce that Reid Szopa has been awarded Life Membership of BMAFC, recognizing his outstanding contribution to our club over two decades.
Reid joined the club at age seven and this year receives his 20-year service pin. His dedication on the field has been exemplary—whether captaining the reserves with distinction or answering the call to reinforce the first team when needed, he consistently delivers with commitment and skill.
Beyond his playing achievements, Reid embodies the values of our club. He has willingly taken on every coaching role requested, mentored countless young players, and became our youngest-ever Founding Presidents Award winner. His leadership and genuine care for the club make an immediate impression on everyone he meets.
This year Reid married and relocated west, yet still made the journey to Beachlands three times weekly to captain our U23s to a league title—a testament to his loyalty and character.
We’re honored to welcome Reid as a Life Member and look forward to his continued involvement with our club for many years to come.
