BMAFC is excited to announce the return of Michael Hough and Alex Thurbon as the Head Coaching team for the Men’s First Team in the 2026 season!

Through their coaching responsibilities and senior playing experience, both coaches have consistently demonstrated their value to the club, contributing on and off the field with professionalism and vision.

Glad to be back and thank you to the club for the opportunity. Michael and I are really looking forward to the year ahead. There have been a few changes in and around the league, which always makes things interesting. We’ve had two tough seasons, but with those behind us and having maintained our position in the Northern Conference, we’re looking forward to seeing how BMAFC can continue to challenge and upset this year. Looking forward to seeing the whole club back in action for 2026. All the best to everyone and Up The Beach. – Alex Thurbon

After joining BMAFC last season, I’ve really enjoyed being part of such a supportive and hard-working culture. The passion for football from everyone involved, players, coaches, and the local community, has been incredible. It’s the kind of environment that inspires growth and commitment, and I’m excited to keep building on that this season. I’m looking forward to working with the team, pushing our limits, and making it a memorable year for the club. – Michael Hough

Club President Mark McClintock is excited to have both coaches back.

Last season was tough and full of challenges, but they showed incredible passion and determination, helping a young team progress and develop. I’m confident Michael and Alex will take the club exactly where we want to go, so please join me in congratulating them both on their appointment.
